Our comprehensive vestibular rehabilitation program in Northeast Ohio is designed to assess and treat most forms of dizziness, vertigo, and imbalance with state-of-the-art equipment as well as certified and experienced vestibular therapists.
While traditional vestibular rehabilitation involves looking only at the function of the inner ear, we address multiple systems that could cause dizziness, vertigo, and imbalance. These systems include the vestibular system, or inner ear, as well as the eyes in relation to balance, cervical proprioception in relation to balance and dizziness, central or neurological causes of dizziness and often peripheral joints that contribute to balance such as the ankle, knee, or hip.
By using this comprehensive approach in conjunction with regular reassessment, treatment, and patient education we can expect the best success for our patients. Our goals are to increase the overall quality of life, decrease the risk of falls, and allow continuation of leisure activities into older age.
